These clocks are made from many different legendary aircraft engines like Pratt & Whitney and Lycoming among many others. Size of piston varies from 5.0” in to 5.75” in diameter.

History:
Pratt & Whitney have been known for their legendary engines like the ‘Wasp’ and their radial engines have been used in civil and military aircrafts since World War II era. It has since powered planes like F4U Corsair, Beech 18, DHC-3 Otter, Airspeed Oxford, Avro Anson, Beech 17 Staggerwing, De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, Grumman Goose, Lockheed L-10 Electra, Lockheed 12 Electra Junior, Vought Kingfisher, Vultee BT-13 Valiant, North American Yale and the Sikorsky S-51 helicopter among many others.

The Wasp was the first engine produced by Pratt & Whitney and it was completed December 24, 1925.
The Pratt & Whitney PT-6 is one of the best aero engines ever made, it has been made for a long time and has powered numerous aircrafts like Cessna Caravans, turbine deHavilland Beavers, Twin Otters, turbine Otters, and Dash 7s.

Lycoming is a major US manufacturer of civilian aircraft engines. Headquartered in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Lycoming produces a line of horizontally opposed, air-cooled, four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines available including the only FAA-certified aerobatic and helicopter piston engines on the market. The company has built more than 325,000 piston aircraft engines and powers more than half the world's general aviation fleet, both rotary and fixed wing. In 1929, Lycoming produced its first aviation engine, the nine-cylinder R-680 radial.
